Amy Artingstall, BSc in Mathematics, University of York (Class of 2024)

"Joining Infospectrum has opened the door to an entirely new industry for me. The initial training offers a comprehensive introduction to the maritime sector and its diverse range of companies, and the mentoring phase further enhances this foundation, providing personalised support as I write reports. With colleagues from around the world with extensive industry knowledge, there’s always someone able to help with the specifics of a region or sector I’m researching.

From the outset, I’ve been encouraged to take ownership and accountability for my work, which makes it incredibly rewarding to submit a report to a client, knowing I've contributed valuable insights into a potential counterparty. Interviewing senior management and contacting industry sources has given me firsthand exposure to the market, and I’ve had the opportunity to network with some of these contacts at the London Counterparty Risk Forum. Everyone at Infospectrum has been incredibly welcoming and supportive, and the graduate programme has been a challenging yet still very enjoyable experience so far."

"Since joining the Graduate Analyst Programme, the team at Infospectrum has been incredibly welcoming. Coming from a background in chemistry, I had limited knowledge of shipping, but my colleagues have been excellent mentors, always willing to guide me through the complexities of this sector. Each project presents its own challenges and fresh perspectives, and the variety of work keeps things engaging. Even after just a few months, I find myself learning something new nearly every day.

The training strikes a great balance between challenge and support, allowing you to quickly take ownership of your own projects. With such an experienced team around you, there’s always someone available to help when things get tricky. My journey at Infospectrum has been genuinely fulfilling, and I’ve experienced significant personal and professional growth in a short time. I’d highly recommend this Programme to graduates from any background. Even if your previous experience doesn’t seem directly related, the role is so multifaceted that there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy."
